• Ages: 1–11 years old
Artec Academy operates as Licensed Childcare Facilities by the Florida Department of Children and Families, with Artec Academy License #46604 and Artec Academy Child Care Center License #50286. The program’s mission states that it provides a nurturing, home-like environment built on an aesthetic foundation, where children learn to see and create aesthetics through everyday experiences, while honoring each family’s values, culture, and language. The program describes its vision as a world where children grow surrounded by aesthetics, creativity, and respect, and its goal as inspiring young minds to appreciate aesthetics in everyday life and become confident, thoughtful, and compassionate individuals. Artec Academy states that its educators are committed to reaching the highest level in the art of early learning by providing a safe, nurturing environment that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of young children, and that it stands by state-mandated teacher-to-child ratios and organizes the day to include plenty of outdoor activity time.
The program offers a Creative Curriculum that combines Kindergarten readiness activities with early childhood standards from across the nation and is described as preparing children for Kindergarten and beyond. Its Early Preschool teachers address themes and units such as My World Around Me and My Five Senses, with 1,000 different learning activities to meet the interests and needs of each group of children. Activities are described as teaching language and communication, cognitive skills, creativity, gross and fine motor skills, and personal and social skills. Artec Academy’s unique Two-Year-Old Curriculum is described as supporting and reinforcing the independence of 2-year-olds through amusing and stimulating activities that encourage self-help, language, cognitive, and physical development. The Pre-Kindergarten Program is made up of two courses of study: Scholastic’s Building Language for Literacy program and a theme-based Pre-K Creative Curriculum, with combined curricula focusing on writing, math, science, and social development. Kindergarten Step Ahead is described as a comprehensive school readiness program with a curriculum that offers enhanced offerings to children who are 4 or 5 years old and will be qualified for Kindergarten next fall. The program states that it makes sure all children obtain the care they need to get these learning opportunities by adhering to state-mandated teacher-to-student ratios.
Artec Academy notes that Saturday Childcare service offers a safe and nurturing environment for young minds from 12 months to grow and learn, and that after-school programs foster creativity, curiosity, and confidence in students. The program states that it is proud to support families through scholarship programs. It uses the phrase “Teaching children through art – about art – with art,” explaining that “art” means the aesthetics of learning and life. The program history is listed as Artec Academy © 2016–2023.
