The YMCA of Collier County has been serving Collier County since 1967, and the Marco Y was founded on November 14, 1977. The South Campus has been committed to helping children, families, and communities reach their full potential for 40 years, and for more than 50 years the YMCA of Collier County has remained dedicated to helping Collier County learn, grow, and thrive. The mission of the YMCA of Collier County is to put Judeo Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Cindy Love-Abounader serves as President and CEO of the Marco Island YMCA.

The YMCA of Collier County is a leading non-profit committed to strengthening community and works side-by-side with the community to connect children, teens, adults, and seniors to their potential, purpose, and each other. It has presence and partnerships to deliver positive change across Collier County and was founded by a group of individuals who wanted to improve the community. Y volunteers and supporters remain at the heart of the organization, and through the support of volunteers and both public and private donors, it is able to serve more people and strengthen the community. The Collier Community Foundation awarded $650,000 in surprise grants to nonprofits, and the YMCA of Collier County was one of the recipients of these surprise grants.
