About

Old McMicky’s Farm Educational Tours & Field Trips offers professionally guided, hands-on educational farm tours where children can interact face-to-face with American farm animals. During the tour, kids can touch, see, and have up-close experiences with animals such as goats, pigs, sheep, and chickens, including activities like milking a cow, catching a chicken, and pony rides. The program also includes a hayride, exploring a barn maze, and the chance to see a newborn baby farm animal, with time for eating lunch in oak tree-shaded picnic areas.

• Ages: 3–12 years old

Old McMicky’s Farm Educational Tours & Field Trips is part of Old McMicky’s Farm, which opened in 1991 and is part of Camp Keystone, established in 1946 and described as Florida’s oldest continuously inhabited camp. The farm describes itself as an educational farm and day camp that teaches about farm animals and farm life, and notes that it is not a petting zoo. Visitors of all ages can take a guided tour of the farm with professional tour guides.

The mission of Old McMicky’s Farm is to create fun and bonding family entertainment and celebrations that kids and families will remember for the rest of their lives, to continue the tradition of fun, education, and creating great memories for kids and families in the Tampa Bay area, and to give back to the community. The OMF Foundation is a 501c3, and it states that 100% of the proceeds go to community programs, including the “1000 Kids” program for children facing challenges, child adoption support events, free military weddings, and creating an amazing day of fun-filled memories for children and wounded veterans facing challenges.

Old McMicky’s Farm has received multiple recognitions, including being voted “BEST FARM” in Tampa Bay Creative Loafing Best of the Bay in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. It has also been awarded a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition and Congressional Coin for “Outstanding and Invaluable Service to the Community,” was voted BrightHouse Networks/Bay News 9 2015 Viewer’s Choice Hero of the Year, and is an “Angels in Adoption” National Honoree from the Congressional Committee on Adoption. Additional commendations include a Special Commendation for Community Giving from the Hillsborough County Board of Commissioners, its “Mission I Do” free military dream wedding being featured in People Magazine, and being selected by Good Morning America to shoot live for their national morning show.
