The Circus Arts Conservatory’s mission is to engage and educate students using unique and innovative learning programs, to measurably improve the quality of life for individuals in care communities, and to advance the legacy and heritage of the circus. The Circus Arts Conservatory, Inc. was incorporated on September 30, 1997 as The National Circus School of Performing Arts, later became Circus Sarasota, Inc., and changed its name to The Circus Arts Conservatory in 2013. The Sailor Circus Academy connected with this organization has been nurturing young talent for over 76 years, and the Circus Arts Conservatory has been entrenched in Sarasota circus culture since the 1920s through generations of international circus performers. The organization is described as a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Performing Arts Educational Organization and as Sarasota’s premier destination for spectacular performances, world-class circus training, and unforgettable circus experiences.

The Circus Arts Conservatory presents annual world-class performances in the one-ring, five-star, European-style Ulla Searing Big Top. Approximately 80% of ticket revenue supports community outreach programs serving children through the Education Program, the elderly and those in care facilities through the Humor Therapy Program, and the Sailor Circus Academy. Sarasota residents are described as proud and supportive of The Circus Arts Conservatory for its commitment to preserving Sarasota’s heritage of circus arts through performing, training, educating, and engaging the community in its mission. The leadership team includes Jennifer Mitchell, CEO & President; SaSa Armor, Box Office and Group Sales Manager; and Kelly Fairchild, Guest Speakers contact.
