The Georgia 4-H Environmental Education Program offers day and overnight educational experiences that use the outdoors as a classroom without walls or boundaries. The program teaches science in the context of the environment and also complements math, history, and language arts lessons. These experiences take place through a network of six 4-H facilities that range from the mountains to the sea.

Since 1979, the Georgia 4-H Environmental Education Program has provided this network of high-quality day and overnight educational experiences at the six 4-H facilities from the mountains to the sea. The program is part of the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, which works cooperatively with Fort Valley State University, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the counties of Georgia and offers its educational programs, assistance, and materials to all people without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, or protected veteran status as an Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action organization. The program is also home to the Dublin 4-H Center, which is recognized on the National Register of Historic Places.
