Georgia 4-H Youth Development Programs are part of UGA Extension and are connected to 4-H Youth Development. The programs are included in a network that has 129 4-H Youth Development agents and 6,255 teen and adult volunteers. Across this network, 4-H Youth Development has conducted 19,245 programs and made 1,183,125 face-to-face contacts with 173,505 4-H’ers, with 92,733 visitors to 4-H centers.

UGA Extension states that its mission is to translate the science of everyday living for families, farmers and communities to foster a healthy and prosperous Georgia. UGA Extension supports communities through personalized services such as workshops, classes, consultations, certifications, camps and educator resources. UGA Extension is a collaboration between the UGA College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES) and the UGA College of Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS), and it has faculty and staff in every county across the state of Georgia.
