GWA Youth Sports Program is part of George Walton Academy’s broader athletics offerings, which include 41 middle and high school teams across 27 interscholastic sports. The program has 350 participants and is connected to a school community with 760+ total students enrolled.
• Schedule: Open during the school year daily from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., excluding school holidays and breaks; summer hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and GWA is closed during the week of July 4.
Founded in 1969, George Walton Academy is the oldest and most established private school in Walton County and offers a Made For More, dynamic, future-focused K3–12 education. The school reports an 8:1 overall student to teacher ratio, a 100% college acceptance rate, and 22 AP courses offered, with the Class of 2025 earning $5.7M+ in college scholarships. The mission of George Walton Academy is to challenge students to excel in academics, athletics and the arts and to build character, leadership and curiosity. The wider school community includes students from 14 surrounding counties, 65 students who participated in international exchange and travel last year, and 18 on-campus performances annually in band, drama, piano, chorus and dance.
