Bulloch County Recreation and Parks Youth Programs include sports such as basketball, soccer, football, volleyball, tennis, track, wrestling, archery, and Around the Horn Baseball/Softball. The programs also offer cheerleading, tumbling, pickleball, and fishing activities through the Bulloch Bass Club and the Fishing Rodeo. Additional activities include an After School Program, Summer Camp, Camp Adventure, Counselor in Training, Teen Game Night, Nerf Night, Literacy Club, Green Thumb Club, cooking classes for youth, piano and drum lessons, and special events such as Cookies with Santa, Firecracker Fest, Opening Day, Santa’s Calling, Trick or Treat, and Parent’s Night Out.

The Bulloch County Recreation and Parks Department states that its mission is to enhance the quality of life for all residents by providing inclusive, diverse, and affordable recreational opportunities that promote active living, healthy lifestyles, and community engagement through well-maintained facilities, innovative programs, and a commitment to excellence. The Community Recreation Division includes the Afterschool Program, Summer Camps, instructional programs such as cooking classes, STEM-related classes, a literacy club, tumbling, special events, and volunteerism. The Athletics Division offers programming for youth and adults in football, soccer, baseball, softball, volleyball, wrestling, and tennis. The department is funded by the Bulloch County Commission along with fees and charges collected by the department and has an established relationship with the Bulloch County Board of Education and Georgia Southern University for shared facility use at non-peak times. Mill Creek Regional Park, which is part of the system, opened in 1993, has been named the 1996 USSSA Complex of the Year, and has hosted more than 400 tournaments including five national tournaments. The department maintains and operates eight recreation areas covering more than 213 acres, with 28 buildings, 29 athletic fields, 13 tennis courts, 2 swimming pools, 8 outdoor basketball courts, 13 pickleball courts, walking trails, picnic areas, 7 playgrounds, and picnic pavilions. The Community Recreation Division offers instructional programs involving youth and adults, and the Operations Division and Parks and Grounds Division handle maintenance, landscaping, grass and irrigation maintenance, and event and program preparation for recreation facilities and other county properties. The Agriculture Division, through the Bulloch County Agricultural Complex, hosts public riding monthly and rentals for rodeos, roping events, car shows, meetings, speakers, and training classes, and this facility is available for rent year round and is typically rented during most weekends. Splash in the Boro Family Waterpark and Aquatics Center offers a wide variety of aquatic programs and activities for all ages.
