Trinity Irish Dance Academy offers Irish dance through weekly classes, beginner classes, and camps. The program includes opportunities for new dancers to start in beginner classes and also offers a free first class for those trying Trinity for the first time. Spring enrollment is open, with new beginner classes starting in March.

Founded by Mark Howard in 1982, Trinity Irish Dance Academy has been a Chicago, Milwaukee, and Madison institution for over 40 years and is described as the most widely recognized Irish dance program in the world. Its mission is “Elevating children, the community, and the world through the power and grace of Irish dance.” Trinity’s approach is organized through the Trinity Method, which is a balanced structure centered around solo, team, and performance programming that allows dancers to progress at their own pace.
Trinity has set numerous competitive records and won America’s first world championship team title in 1987, later bringing home the first gold for the United States in all three team categories. Its competitive success led to national and international recognition and changed the Irish dance landscape worldwide. The academy has been featured on six episodes of The Tonight Show, on CONAN, and in a national CBS Evening News “Heart of America” segment highlighting Trinity’s legacy. Recognitions include “Best Dance Studio – Gold 2025 Best of Madison,” “Best Dance Program” from Shepherd Express, “Best Dance Studio” from Chicago Reader, and “Best Dance Class for Kids” from CBS. Conan O’Brien has also visited Trinity classes to learn Irish dance steps.
