Barrington Area Soccer Association Programs (BASA Tots, Recreational & FC Barrington) offer soccer training, camps, and clinics that include activities such as Futsal and Academy sessions. The programs include BASA Tots, BASA Recreational, and FC Barrington, and players work with US Soccer licensed coaches. Programs are available for players of all ages.
• Ages: 3–18 years old
The BASA Tots program is for players ages 3–5 years old to learn soccer basics, with a focus on individual players working with the ball. Tots is a Pre-K program and an introduction to soccer in a fun, developmentally appropriate environment. All Tots classes are coached by staff and focus on movement, skills, and having fun.
BASA Recreational is for players from Kindergarten through high school and is the non-competitive portion of the program. BASA Recreational offers Fall, Indoor, Spring, and Summer programs. BASA has one of the largest and well established recreational programs in the state of Illinois.
FC Barrington offers teams for U9–U19 players looking to compete locally and regionally. FC Barrington focuses on technical and tactical aspects of the game and developing players. The FC Barrington Indoor Program offers additional winter options including Futsal and Academy, and Indoor Recreational and Tots registration is available for the winter months.
The stated goal at FC Barrington is to develop the best players and teams possible and provide the most driven players in soccer the opportunity to excel to the highest levels of which they are capable. The program has been awarded the “Region II 5 Star program award” for its commitment to excellence in all areas of the program.
