About
Kids Can Cook Classes introduces children to cooking through hands-on cooking classes, cooking demonstrations, cookie decorating, and a “science class in the kitchen” that focuses on cooking basics. The program offers kids’ culinary classes designed for little chefs-in-the-making, which teach basic cooking skills and expand kids’ knowledge with food, cooking, and baking. All classes conclude in an adjacent dining space where guests can enjoy all of the dishes prepared, and some classes include preparing a three-course meal, seasonal themed classes, and nutrition enrichment courses.
Kids Can Cook Classes takes place at One Life Kitchen, a culinary space that features hands-on cooking classes, nutritional seminars, and private event options such as kids birthday parties and private children’s parties. One Life Kitchen offers intimate, hands-on cooking classes with culinary instructors, nutritionists, and cookbook authors. The kids’ classes are described as being designed for kids of all ages. One Life Kitchen was founded by Lauren Brynjelsen, a local Barrington resident, who is the owner, and her stated mission is to provide an atmosphere where each guest finds nourishment for the body, mind and soul.
