About
pmdance offers Adult Cecchetti Based Ballet Technique, Adult Modern Dance Technique, Adult Ballet Conditioning, Adult Yoga/Pilates Stretch & Tone, Adult Ballet I, Adult Ballet II, Adult Ballet III, Adult Multi-level Modern Dance, Adult Multi-level Yoga/Pilates, Stretch & Tone, and Yoga/Pilates. Adult programs are for ages 13 years and up. The modern dance program draws on Cunningham, Graham, Horton, among other modern dance techniques, and includes improvisational elements that reinforce the students' ownership of the movement. Yoga/Pilates combines Vinyasa Yoga (Vinyasa flow) and Pilates core conditioning mat work, with yoga forms modified to achieve maximum range of movement while traditional Pilates mat exercises connect the student to working from their core. Stretch & Tone uses basic stretch on the floor and standing to promote range of motion and balance mixed with callisthenic exercises, using mat, free standing, and barre exercises. Adult Ballet Conditioning uses ballet technique exercises to enhance strength and range of motion and is accessible to the dancer and non-dancer alike, and no dance experience is required for Adult Ballet Conditioning.
