About
Champ Camp Great Outdoors offers nature exploration, hands-on activities, outdoor play, and local exploration. Campers take part in field trips, including visits to Wilder Park, the Elmhurst Quarry Overlook, and the nature areas along Salt Creek. The program includes daily lessons in community building and character development, along with wellness screening located near the Family Communication Area.

• Schedule: Weekly sessions from 6/8/2026–8/7/2026, with core camp hours from 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., and no-fee extended care from 7:30–9:00 a.m. and 4:00–5:30 p.m. (closed 7/3)
• Price: Weekly cost $450 (includes snacks); prorated cost for July Fourth week $360; $25 off per week, per child for select Champ Camp Great Outdoors locations from 11/7/2025 through 04/30/2026
Teachers and staff undergo extensive training on health and safety practices, including pandemic-response protocols, and are trained in first aid and CPR. Staff members are trained in child development, early childhood education, or a related field, and criminal background checks are conducted. The program states that Champions is a safe, healthy place for children to thrive, and that the safety, security, and health of each child is a top priority.
A 2025 camp parent reported that their 5-year-old daughter enjoyed every day of Champ Camp and described it as fun, educational, and friendly.
