DuPage Dance Academy offers classes and workshops in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Pre-Ballet, Modern, Pointe, Variations, Character, mime, creative dance related projects, and Stretch/Floor Barre. The program includes options such as a Children’s Workshop with a performance, Pre-Ballet classes, Children’s Beginning Ballet, a Summer Dance Camp with snacks provided, a 1-Day Intensive for intermediate and advanced students, and a Teen/Adult Summer Schedule with multiple dance styles.

• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Short-term summer options include 4-week sessions for the Children’s Workshop (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2pm–5pm, June 2–25, with a performance on Thursday, June 26 at 4:30pm), Pre-Ballet (Wednesdays, 4:15pm–5:00pm, June 3–24), and Children’s Beginning Ballet (Mondays, 4pm–5pm, June 1–22); a Summer Dance Camp for ages 7–12 runs July 13–16, Monday–Thursday, 2pm–4pm; a 1-Day Intensive for intermediate/advanced students ages 13+ meets Wednesday, May 27, 10am–3:30pm; and a Teen/Adult Summer Schedule for ages 13+ runs as a 10-week session from June 1–August 8 with classes offered Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
• Price: Children’s Workshop tuition is $324.00; Pre-Ballet tuition is $54.00 for 4 weeks; Children’s Beginning Ballet tuition is $60.00; Summer Dance Camp tuition is $108.00; the 1-Day Intensive tuition is $65.00; Teen/Adult 10-week tuition for age 13+ is $16.00 for a single class, $155.00 for 1 class per week, $300.00 for 2 classes per week, $435.00 for 3 classes per week, $560.00 for 4 classes per week, $675.00 for 5 classes per week, $780.00 for 6 classes per week, Tap is $140.00, and the Professional & Teacher single class rate is $14.00.

DuPage Dance Academy was established over 40 years ago in Elmhurst, Illinois. The school director is Geni Lucchesi, who is also Co-Director of Elmhurst Dance Theatre and was formerly with Ballet Midwest, and the assistant school director is Jeri DiPasquale, who is also Co-Director of Elmhurst Dance Theatre and was formerly with Ballet Midwest. Instructors include Jaqueline Farina (formerly with the National Classical Co. of Mexico and a member of RAD and Cecchetti), Angela D’Onofrio (Elmhurst Dance Theatre, Ballet North, Director MC2 Dance Company), Amanda Zgonina (BA Musical Theater, North Central College, current member Elmhurst Dance Theatre), and Sara Zgonina (BA Musical Theater, North Central College, current member Elmhurst Dance Theatre).

DuPage Dance Academy’s resident dance company, Elmhurst Dance Theatre, includes intermediate and advanced level students in its activities, such as the annual “Nutcracker Highlights” and performances with the Elmhurst Symphony and Chicago Dance Slam. Program guidelines state that no gum is allowed in class, all students are required to be on time, all absences should be phoned in, there are no deductions for absent classes, there are no refunds under any circumstances, absent classes should be made up within the session paid for, makeups may carry over to the next session only if the student pays for the same number of classes in the new session as in the previous one, and discipline is required by the Academy.
