Arts on Fire Workshops & Events

Arts on Fire Workshops & Events offers hands-on art activities such as painting a chosen pottery piece, fusing glass, hand-building art with clay, throwing clay on the wheel, and creating a masterpiece on canvas or wood boards with paint. The program also features specific workshops and events including a Glass Blowing Experience, Porch Goose Painted, Stoneware Bowl or Chip~n~Dip Workshop, Stoneware Bowl Painting Workshop – Peacock Pattern, and a Stoneware Beaker Workshop. Walk-in painting, paint-at-home projects that are returned to the studio for firing, hand building sessions, pottery painting, hand building with clay, and wheel throwing are all part of the regular offerings.

• Schedule: Open 7 days a week with hours listed as Mon–Fri 10am–6pm, Sat 10am–6pm, and Sunday Noon–4pm, with noted extended hours starting 5/10/2023 of Mon–Wed 10am–6pm, Thurs–Sat 10am–8pm, and Sun Noon–4pm; individual workshop sessions such as Glass Blowing Experience, Porch Goose Painted, and stoneware workshops are scheduled in 2-hour blocks.

Each class is led by a knowledgeable and experienced artist, and the studio’s friendly, experienced staff are described as passionate about pottery and dedicated to helping participants achieve their artistic goals. Arts on Fire Studio has been in operation at least since 2020. The business is owned by Kelly Browning, who is identified as the owner of the Arts on Fire pottery business. The studio highlights a mission statement that invites participants to “Discover the joy of creating with clay at Arts on Fire — where your imagination is the only limit.” The program is involved in the local community through a community mural project on the outside of the art studio in Plano, IL, including an outdoor floral mural that is used as a calling card for the business. The studio notes that all skill levels are welcome, offers expert instruction by friendly, experienced staff, and maintains a community atmosphere with a vibrant community of artists and hobbyists. It recommends booking classes in advance to secure a spot, but states that walk-ins are always welcome for paint-your-own pottery and hand building sessions, and that reservations are not needed for groups of five or less.
