Illinois Conservation Foundation Youth Programs are part of a variety of ongoing statewide programs that serve youth, adults, and the community. Thousands of youth and adults participate in outdoor recreational pursuits through these programs. The programs are connected to the Torstenson Youth Conservation Education Center, which has more than 8,000 visitors each year.

The Illinois Conservation Foundation preserves and enhances Illinois’ natural and cultural heritage by supporting the Illinois Department of Natural Resources through financial resources from donors and conservation partners. Its programs include the Illinois Schoolyard Habitat Action Grant program, which has awarded $330,212.47 and more than 500 grants since it began, and Biodiversity Field Trips, which have provided support for more than 100,000 students. The foundation offers more than 50 outdoor clinics each year, and it offers a free Outdoor Illinois App for hunting, fishing, or boating license renewal reminders. The foundation has awarded 85 Conservation Achievement Scholarships to high school seniors and has recognized 74 Illinois Outdoor Hall of Fame inductees.
