THE GYM of Springfield offers basketball training, skills academies, basketball leagues, basketball tournaments, basketball camps, basketball summer camps, and court rentals. The program also includes volleyball leagues on its two high school size, wooden courts with bleacher seating and lighted scoreboards. It operates as a two-court, all-inclusive basketball facility that provides consistent, proven basketball training in a first-class environment.

Since the first season in the winter of 2000, THE GYM of Springfield has been offering young athletes a wide range of basketball activities at various skill and competitive levels, along with volleyball leagues. The program is led by Kathy Paonik and Wally Phelps. THE GYM of Springfield states that its goal is to offer a place where kids are excited to go to for basketball and volleyball. It is an active, successful member of the Springfield business community and draws players and spectators from throughout the Central Illinois area, increasing the local economy's tourism dollars.
