Children’s Theatre of Western Springs offers classes, Children’s Theatre Productions, and summer camps focused on live theatre. The program also includes a special event called Trivia at the Theatre 2026.
Founded in 1929 by Western Springs resident Mary Cattell, the Theatre of Western Springs has run continuously for over 90 years and is celebrating its 98th season. The Children’s Theatre of Western Springs was founded in 1946 as part of this long-running organization. The theatre’s mission is to entertain, to educate, to explore, and to inspire a community of all ages through the performing arts. Each year, the theatre trains over 400 students in all aspects of theatre, both on-stage and back-stage, and produces a number of adult and student productions and workshops. The Theatre of Western Springs acknowledges support from Arts Midwest and the Illinois Arts Council.
