CTWS Summer Camps

CTWS Summer Camps offers The Music Man JR, Singin' in the Rain JR, Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma!, Improv Camp, Warmup Camp: Theatre Adventure!, and Acting Camp: Charlotte's Web. The camps include songs, dances, theatre games, theatre basics, improv games, theatre concepts, scene writing, musical improv, and rehearsals and performances of a play.

• The Music Man JR — Completed Kindergarten thru Completed 8th Grade · $495
• Singin' in the Rain JR — Completed 5th Grade thru Completed 8th Grade · $495 · June 15-26, 2pm-6pm. Performances: Saturday, June 27 at 12pm and 2:30pm. (No camp 6/19)
• Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! — Completed 8th Grade thru Completed 12th Grade · $595 · July 6th-July 24th, 2:00pm-6:00pm. Performances: July 24 at 7pm; July 25 at 2:30pm and 7pm; July 26 at 2:30pm.
• Improv Camp — Completed 5th Grade thru Completed 9th Grade · $275 · July 13-17, 2:00pm-5:00pm. Showcase: July 17 at 5pm. Workshop-style camp with improv games, theatre concepts, scene writing, musical improv, and more.
• Warmup Camp: Theatre Adventure! — Completed Kindergarten thru Completed 3rd Grade · $250 · June 8-12, 9:00am-12:00pm. Showcase: June 12, 12pm. One-week musical theatre camp with songs, dances, theatre games, and theatre basics.
• Acting Camp: Charlotte's Web — Completed 3rd thru Completed 8th Grade · $395 · July 20-31, 2pm-5pm. Performances: August 1 at 12pm and 2:30pm. Students learn and perform a play in 2 weeks.

About the provider

The Children’s Theatre of Western Springs was founded in 1946. Its mission is to entertain, to educate, to explore, and to inspire a community of all ages through the performing arts. The Children’s Theatre of Western Springs trains over 400 students each year in all aspects of theatre, both on-stage and back-stage.

Refund policy: Prior to May 1st = Full Refund minus a $30 processing fee. After May 1 up to 2 weeks prior to the start of the session = 75% refund or credit minus a $30 processing fee. Less than 2 weeks prior to the start of camp = no refund or credit. Campers are grouped roughly by age. Every camper is cast in the show. Not every camper may get a solo or line. Parents/caregivers more than 10 minutes late to pick up may be subjected to a financial penalty. No nurse on staff; teachers are trained in basic First Aid & CPR.
