Western Springs School of Talent Education and Naperville Suzuki School follow the philosophy of world-renowned pedagogue and humanitarian Shin’ichi Suzuki in the study of music. The faculty at these schools have been enriching the lives of children through the study of music for forty-five years. During the current school year, Western Springs School of Talent Education and the Naperville Suzuki School are under the leadership of Emily Connolly.
Following the stated mission, the faculty at Western Springs School of Talent Education and the Naperville Suzuki School base their work on Shin’ichi Suzuki’s philosophy. The schools state that West Suburban Suzuki Foundation, Inc. and WSSTE, Inc. admit students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. They also state that they do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship, and other school-administered programs. The schools state that they strive to function as an anti-racist organization, both as a community of people and as an institution, through practices inside and outside of the classroom.
