Music Makers of Western Springs

Music Makers of Western Springs offers Children’s Musical Theatre and music lessons. Music lessons are available in piano, guitar, voice, ukulele, bass, drums, violin, viola, cello, banjo, reeds, and more, and they are available in person and online through Zoom depending on the teacher or instrument. The program also offers Summer Camp: Acting through Song and Summer Camp: MMT Triple Threat.

About the provider

Music Makers of Western Springs was founded in 1978. Its directors are professional educators, and the staff includes over 20 teachers with university training and years of professional teaching and performing experience. The program is described as having an award-winning Musical Theater program, and it serves Western Springs, La Grange, La Grange Park, Hinsdale, Burr Ridge, Indian Head Park, and other western suburbs of Chicago.

MMT is a no-cut program. All students are cast in a role and will perform in multiple scenes and songs. Casting is based on audition and callbacks for that specific show. Students work on lines, singing, and choreography. Office hours and teaching hours are listed. Lessons are month to month. Trial lessons are available. Online Zoom lessons are available. Missed lesson policy: cancel before 12:00pm on lesson day to receive LessonMate within 48 hours; after 12:00pm or no-show forfeits LessonMate for the week.
