Boys & Girls Club at Foundation For Youth offers afterschool programs and full day summer programs that include tutoring, homework help, and summer learning loss prevention for school aged youth in grades K–12. Participants can take part in sports leagues, basketball, volleyball, golf clinics, pickleball, open gym, swim lessons, and water aerobics. The program also includes out of school activities, summer camps, outdoor adventures, retreats, field trips, hiking, archery, and a challenge course, along with 1:1 and small group youth mentoring programs, leadership development, youth voice advocacy, and collaborative partnerships.

Foundation For Youth (FFY) has been a dedicated community pillar for youth and families across Bartholomew County and beyond since 1928. FFY is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and its programs support the physical, social, and emotional development of youth. Programs are grounded in four cornerstones: Commitment to Learning, Character and Leadership, Positive Identity, and Healthy Lifestyles. FFY uses a trauma-informed framework called TBRI that is grounded in consistent language, nurturing engagement, and emotional regulation strategies. FFY’s programs reach thousands of children each year. The mission of FFY is: “To Inspire and Enable Our Youth, Our Community.” Foundation for Youth is designated a Platinum Level participant, demonstrating a commitment to transparency. Janine Proto serves as Volunteer Resource Manager. FFY relies on community support, volunteers, and partnerships to sustain its programs and expand its outreach, and it works with community members, coalitions, and partners to promote positive mental health and address substance abuse and misuse in Bartholomew County. FFY is the licensed Safe Place agency responsible for operating the Safe Place program in the community, and the Council for Youth Development is a cross-sector coalition connected with FFY that aligns efforts to advance a culture of positive youth development in Bartholomew County.
