North Star Montessori offers activities that include arts and crafts. The program also includes a summer program that incorporates arts and crafts as part of its offerings. Summer spots for children who are not current students are limited.

North Star Montessori was founded in 2001. It was started by teachers and parents who were interested in providing an authentic Montessori environment for children in Bartholomew County and surrounding areas. The program is focused on providing quality educational experiences, based on the teachings of Dr. Maria Montessori and best practices of education, to children ages 6 weeks to 6 years. Its methodology blends Montessori methods and the best practices available in education, with strong infant, toddler, and kindergarten programs that are culture-rich, locally rooted, globally aware, environmentally responsible, and inclusive.
North Star Montessori aims to provide excellent education in an environment where children pursue developmentally appropriate and academically fulfilling learning, preparing them as stewards of the planet and leaders in the global economy. The school offers beautiful indoor environments with extensions to the natural environment. North Star Montessori (NSM) is a not for profit, 501(c)3 corporation and is guided by a Board of Trustees.
