• Ages: 1–18 years old
• Schedule: The Foundations Choir meets for 10 weeks per semester, the Beginning Level Choirs meet once per week, Jubilate Choir singers meet each week, and rehearsals for Master Chorale are held on Sundays.

Founded in 1986, the Indianapolis Children’s Choir states that its mission is to transform lives through powerful choral experiences and music education, empowering young voices to grow, connect, and lead on stage and in the community. Programs and camps are offered for preschool through adults, including a Music Education Summit for teachers and educators, and ICC Connects allows youth living outside the state of Indiana to participate virtually from kindergarten through 12th grade, including early childhood and Jubilate classes. The Music At Play early childhood program serves children ages 18 months to 5 years old, the Preparatory Choir is a non-auditioned experience for 1st through 3rd-grade students, Beginning Level Choirs through Advanced Choirs are audition-based for 4th–9th graders, Master Chorale performs one major choral work per year with a professional orchestra, and the Jubilate Choir is a tuition-free choir for singers with special needs in grades 3–9. Foundations Choir participation includes a performance in an ICC Season Concert, and Columbus Indiana Children’s Choir (CICC) programs include Music At Play (MAP), Preparatory Choir, Descant and Concert Choir, while the Anderson Area Children’s Choir & Youth Chorale programs extend musical experiences in Anderson and surrounding areas.

The organization’s leadership includes founder Henry Leck and Artistic Director and Executive Artistic Director Joshua Pedde, with Melissa Garcia serving as Columbus Indiana Children’s Choir (CICC) Director and Deborah Eikenbary as Columbus Indiana Children’s Choir Administrator. The choir has performed by blind audition for national professional music associations including five national conferences of the American Choral Directors Association, the National Association for Music Education, the Organization of American Kodály Educators, and the American Orff-Schulwerk Association. The ICC has performed on every continent except Antarctica, has appeared at major sporting events such as Super Bowl XLVI in 2012 and the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500 in 2016, and performed the national anthem with Grammy-winner Kelly Clarkson at Super Bowl XLVI, as well as live national anthems for all gold medal award winners at the 2004 FINA World Swimming Championships.

The Indianapolis Children’s Choir regularly appears with orchestras, professional artists, and ensembles, and has performed at civic events including Indiana gubernatorial and mayoral inaugurations, The Governor’s Arts Awards, the Indiana Living Legends Award Gala, the Indiana Leadership Summit, the Tenth Pan Am Games, President George W. Bush’s visit to Indiana, the Congressional Medal of Honor Memorial Dedication, Project 9/11 Indianapolis Memorial Dedication Ceremony, the Indianapolis Prize Gala, and the opening and closing ceremonies of the International Violin Competition of Indianapolis. The Angels Sing holiday concert at Second Presbyterian Church is broadcast each year by 13 WTHR. Testimonials from partner organizations and audience members describe the choir’s performances at events such as the Eskenazi Celebration event, the NALM Conference, and programs with the Little Wish Foundation, and include comments from an American Choral Directors Association representative and ICC singers about their experiences with the choir.
