About
KidStrong is a science-based kids training program that uses fun activities that promote balance, coordination, strength, and agility. Classes include puzzles, games, and mental challenges that use science-based fitness games to build emotional, physical, and mental skills through a 45-minute structured program that is carefully designed to support whole-child development. Classes are developmentally appropriate, fun, and challenging, and the program is parent-focused and held in clean, modern centers.
• Ages: 0–11 years old
• Schedule: Each week, kids join a 45-minute class
KidStrong is guided by a group of experts, child development scientists, and coaches, and its programming is specially designed by child development experts to improve kids’ emotional, mental, and physical skills. The program follows the Whole Child Philosophy with three pillars: Strong Character, Strong Body, and Strong Mind, and uses games that develop life skills like teamwork, mental toughness, and sportsmanship, as well as creativity, mental development, and problem-solving skills. All coaches are certified and professional, and coaches are specially trained, compassionate leaders.
KidStrong was founded in 2015 by Matt and Megin Sharp in Lexington, Kentucky, and they partnered with Lincoln Brown to turn the idea into a scalable business. The leadership team includes Preschool & Kindergarten Director Patti Eubanks, Doctor of Physical Therapy Patrick Ford, and Dr. Julie Foucher, MD, Family Physician and 4x CrossFit Games Competitor. KidStrong celebrated its 100th center opening with franchisee Barb Volk in Plantation, Florida, and now has more than 160 locations serving more than 65,000 kids per week. KidStrong also offers Camps, and some centers run KidStrong Academy.
KidStrong states that it is a science-based kids training program that builds strong, confident, and high-character kids and builds happier, more confident kids. The program states that when it focuses on the whole child, it gives kids the foundation they need to become well-rounded, confident kids.
Parents have shared that their daughter’s confidence has “skyrocketed” after attending once a week, that a previously shy and anxious son has become more confident, and that a child with a speech delay became motivated in the KidStrong environment and started putting effort into learning words and daily skills like cooking and cleaning.
