Camp Director Chris Calden leads the program, bringing playing experience at Watertown High School from 2000–2004 as a four-year varsity player, Middlesex All-Star, and at Fitchburg State in 2005 where he was named to the 2005 All-Defensive Second Team. His coaching background includes serving as Assistant Varsity Boys Coach at Watertown High School from 2011–2021, during which the team earned 5 Middlesex League Titles, 3 North Championships, and 1 Eastern Conference Champions title. The ASA Sports coaching staff is described as some of the most talented and seasoned coaches in New England, and all ASA coaches are trained and registered.

A Step Ahead Sports (ASA Sports), the coaching organization behind the camp, is a year-round youth fitness provider established in 2019 and has expanded each summer throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire offering summer camps in partnership with US Sports Camps. US Sports Camps states that it is committed to making camps a safe environment and positive experience for all campers and staff. Nike Soccer Camp at Thayer Sports Center has an average rating of 5.00 out of 5 stars based on 1 review, and all Massachusetts camps must comply with regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and be licensed by the local board of health.

The camp lists a low 10:1 camper-to-coach ratio, instruction from ASA coaching staff, and a Nike Soccer Camp T-shirt for all campers. Campers are evaluated on the first day and placed in groups based on age and ability, and instruction is available to boys and girls playing at all levels from beginner to advanced. Team discounts are available for groups of four or more, with groups of 4 or more receiving a $30 discount per camper and groups of 8 or more receiving a $35 discount per camper. Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. Flexible cancellation options are available, and families can save a spot with a deposit. Nike Soccer Camp balls (sizes 3, 4, or 5) can be purchased during registration and are shipped with shipping included in the listed price.

All campers are required to bring soccer cleats (no metal studs), shin guards, athletic shoes, a water bottle, and athletic clothing. Lunch is not provided for day campers, so a packed lunch and snacks must be sent from home, along with sunblock and a small gym bag or backpack. It is not required to bring a soccer ball to camp, as balls are provided by the staff for camp instruction. Transportation is not provided, and campers are responsible for getting to and from camp.
