About

Environmental Education Programs connects students, teachers, and school leaders to the Chesapeake Bay watershed through hands-on field experiences, leadership training, and classroom support. The program takes place at working education centers, and education staff spend most of their time out in the field or in other educational settings rather than in an office.

For more than 50 years, these award-winning education programs have connected students, teachers, and school leaders to the Chesapeake Bay watershed. The mission of the program is saving the Chesapeake Bay and its waterways by educating, uniting, and inspiring people to take action. The leadership team includes Ashley Sementelli. The program is part of a broader effort that performs hands-on restoration work with community partners across the watershed to reduce pollution at its source and rebuild the Bay's natural filters, including oyster reefs, forests, soil, and wetlands.
