About

Environmental Education Programs and Eco-Camps offers summer Eco-Camps, Student Leadership Expeditions, a Tree Nursery Volunteer Day, a Beyond Clean the Bay Day Webinar, and a Paint & Sip for the Bay. The program includes hands-on field experiences, leadership training, and classroom support, and uses working education centers where education staff spend most of their time out in the field or in other educational settings rather than in an office. CBF’s education programs are described as award-winning.

For more than 50 years, CBF's education programs have connected students, teachers, and school leaders to the Chesapeake Bay watershed. The mission of the program is saving the Chesapeake Bay and its waterways by educating, uniting, and inspiring people to take action. CBF performs hands-on restoration work with community partners across the watershed to reduce pollution at its source and rebuild the Bay's natural filters, including oyster reefs, forests, soil, and wetlands.
