Bundles of Joy University

Bundles of Joy University offers an early childhood program that uses Frog Street, a comprehensive researched-based curriculum, as the core of its daily learning. The program follows the Maryland Model for School Readiness and operates in a child-centered environment that is described as clean and safe. Parents have access to an open door policy throughout the program.

All staff members are credentialed under the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), have completed criminal background checks, and are certified in CPR and First Aid. The program maintains a Certificate of Accreditation that certifies it meets standards for quality childhood programs and recognizes its dedication to maintaining educational excellence in the early learning years. All programs at Bundles of Joy Inc. are licensed by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) and the Office of Child Care (OCC).

The program’s mission states that it is based on the idea that all children are different and that it is designed to encourage each child to develop at their own rate, with attention to social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and language development. The mission also states that the program focuses on hands-on experiences that are fun, that children learn through play with a structured curriculum woven into that play, and that the environment is child-centered, clean, and safe. The mission further explains that the center offers many activities that are age and developmentally appropriate, emphasizes that parents are an extremely important part of the center, and describes a commitment to a positive and open relationship with parents, including an open door policy and welcoming parent information, ideas, and suggestions.

The mission statement notes that the goal is to provide care for both children and parents, to encourage each child to learn new skills without forcing them beyond their capabilities, and to offer a safe, comfortable, and stable environment for children. It also states that the program understands the difficulties involved with choosing the right center for a family’s needs.

The program describes its community involvement by stating that it relies on the help and support of its partners, and that these partners help Bundles of Joy provide unique experiences that children are described as sure to love.

Parent testimonials describe the staff as always available to answer questions, give feedback or ideas, and offer support and encouragement. One parent states that after visiting a few daycares in the area, it was obvious to them that Bundles was above the rest. Another parent says that staff “go out of their way” and “give 200% to all they do.” A final testimonial states, “We didn't know what we were missing until we became a part of the Bundles family.”
