New Logic Marine Science Camp is taught by real scientists and a team of highly experienced scientists and educators, using award-winning curricula and a “hands-on, feet-wet” learning methodology. The mission of New Logic Marine Science Camp is to ignite passion for marine science, conservation, and environmentalism in the next generation of scientists worldwide through its outdoor education model. The program was first launched in 2007 in Lavallette, NJ, and has since partnered or affiliated with organizations such as Anne Arundel County, Berkeley Township, Hidden Pond, Isla Bella, Eco Experience, Neptune Township, Middletown Recreation, NJ DEP, NJ Maritime Museum, Rumson Recreation, Spring Lake, Stafford Township, and Key School. New Logic Marine Science Camp has been voted “Best Camp” from 2012–2024, and its small-scale programs emphasize engaging, hands-on experiences that are free from an average classroom’s constraints, with an attendee-to-staff ratio and program size that create a safe atmosphere and offer a unique glimpse into fragile marine, estuarine, and aquatic environments.
Parent feedback includes comments that campers “had a great time and learned so much,” that the program was “worth every penny,” and that children “couldn’t wait to go every morning to camp.” Other parents noted that campers “learned a lot of cool facts about marine life” and described the organization, communication, student-to-counselor ratio, and age groupings as “outstanding” and “perfect.”
