Ocean Pines Recreation & Parks Youth Programs include activities such as ZUMBA, Kids Paint Night Sea Turtle, Mommy/Daddy & ME Craft Time, Kids Craft Time Water Gun Tie Dye, Skateboarding Camp, Marine Science Camp, Summer Youth Soccer Clinics, Happy Cleats Soccer, Pee Wee Soccer, Rock the Park, and FAMILY FUN NIGHTS at Yacht Club Pool. Summer 2026 activities include Concerts in the Park on Thursdays from June 25–August 27, 7–9pm, and Rock the Park every week from June 15–August 17. Youth-focused options include Summer Youth Soccer Clinics on Tuesdays from July 14–August 11, Skateboarding Camp on Tuesday–Thursday, August 11–13, and Marine Science Camp running Monday–Friday, 9am–2pm, during the weeks of August 17–21 and August 24–28. Additional scheduled activities include Kids Paint Night Sea Turtle on Wednesday, July 22, 5:30–6:30pm, Mommy/Daddy & ME Craft Time on Tuesdays July 21, August 4, and August 18 from 11am–12pm, and Kids Craft Time Water Gun Tie Dye on Saturday, August 15, 2–3pm. FAMILY FUN NIGHTS at Yacht Club Pool run Wednesdays from June 24–August 19, 6–8pm, and Family Fun Night Bingo is scheduled for Friday, September 4, 6–8pm. Happy Cleats Soccer for 2-year-olds starts September 8 and for 3-year-olds starts September 10, while Pee Wee Soccer for 4–5-year-olds starts September 8 and for 6–8-year-olds starts September 10.
The Recreation & Parks Department states that its mission is to provide quality and cost-effective recreational activities, facilities, parks and special events that meet the needs of Ocean Pines property owners and residents. The department operates and schedules activities in the Community Center, parks, marinas, Beach Club and tennis facilities, and offers an array of year-round recreational and leisure activities for all ages and interests. Ocean Pines is described as a residential community featuring more than nine miles of waterfront property on 3,000 acres of wooded areas, with amenities that include a beachfront restaurant in Ocean City, a public Yacht Club in Ocean Pines, five pools, two marinas, a premier racquet sports complex, and a Robert Trent Jones Sr.-designed championship golf course.
The Recreation & Parks Department leadership team includes Debbie Donahue, Director of Recreation and Parks; Katie Goetzinger, Recreation Program Supervisor; Joshua Vickers, Recreation Events Coordinator; Jacklynn Metzger, Administrative Assistant; and Michelle Lane-Ross, Administrative Assistant. Ocean Pines is described as featuring award-winning amenities and as aiming to be a premier resort community offering value and quality of life to property owners who are diverse in age, economic status and interests. Community involvement has included fundraising efforts led by resident Barbara Kissel and community volunteers that resulted in a playground at Manklin, and the expansion of the Ocean Pines Farmers Market into the Farmers & Artisans Market after breaking vendor registration history.
