P.O.M. Squad

P.O.M. Squad offers dance training that includes Ballet, Jazz, Pom, Hip-Hop, and Acro. The program includes both recreational squad options and award winning competition teams. P.O.M. Squad also offers 8 weeks of camp available in the summer that focus on dance activities.

• Ages: 3–18 years old

P.O.M. Squad has over a decade of experience and has been in business for more than 10 years. The program is described as Silver Spring’s Favorite Dance Studio and serves aspiring dancers of all levels, from novice to competitive. Its curriculum incorporates various dance styles to support the development of versatile and well-rounded dancers. The program mission states that P.O.M. is dedicated to breaking barriers in the arts by bringing high-quality dance and mentoring programs directly into schools, communities, and its studio. According to its mission, P.O.M. provides safe, inclusive spaces where children can discover their potential, build lasting friendships, and shine through performance, and it is committed to building community, character, and confidence. Coaches provide instruction in Ballet, Jazz, Pom, Hip-Hop, and Acro, and they lead award winning competition teams. The program also includes a recreational squad whose dancers are expected to learn the skills necessary to audition for competition squads.
