P.O.M. Squad

P.O.M. Squad offers dance training that includes Ballet, Jazz, Pom, Hip-Hop, and Acro. The program includes both recreational squad options and award winning competition teams, and it also offers a free trial class. P.O.M. Squad runs 8 weeks of summer camp that features dance activities.

P.O.M. Squad has over a decade of experience and has been in business for more than 12 years. Its curriculum incorporates various dance styles to support the development of versatile and well-rounded dancers. The program includes a recreational squad whose dancers are expected to learn the skills necessary to audition for competition squads, as well as auditions for competition teams. The organization states core values of Community, Character, and Confidence. P.O.M. is dedicated to breaking barriers in the arts by bringing high-quality dance and mentoring programs directly into schools, communities, and its studio, and it describes its spaces as safe and inclusive. The program is described as Silver Spring’s Favorite Dance Studio and focuses on igniting a passion for dance in children as young as 3 years old while fostering a fun and supportive atmosphere.
