Some skaters participate in youth volunteering for AAFSC needs, staff and coach appreciation activities, developing a social media presence, helping younger or newer skaters prepare for competitions, serving as ambassadors at Learn to Skate and Public Skate events, planning and running meetings, making group decisions, keeping a budget, and forming subcommittees to plan and implement activities.

The Junior Hockettes were honored to represent Team USA at the 2025 Budapest Cup International Competition, where they competed in Budapest, Hungary, on March 14–15, 2025, delivered performances that earned them the gold medal, and were named international champions.
The Ann Arbor Figure Skating Club notes that it offers classes and programs for all ages and levels year round, and that its Learn to Skate program is open to ages 3–93. The Hockettes program has opportunities for skaters of all ages and skill levels to get involved in synchronized skating, and one team gives skaters the chance to learn the basics of synchronized skating and perform in Ann Arbor ice shows. The club states that it offers ice sessions six days a week and that 2025–2026 Ann Arbor Figure Skating Club membership is required for ice sessions.
The Ann Arbor Figure Skating Club provides a locker room for the convenience of its skaters and states that it is not liable for contents placed within the lockers or locker room. Skaters under the age of 10 are assigned a bottom locker, and adult skaters are assigned a locker on the far left side of the locker room. Families are instructed to purchase a combination lock, as keyed locks are not permitted, and lockers are assigned by the Ann Arbor Figure Skating Club.
