About

Michigan Premier Soccer Academy (MPSA CRUSH) offers travel soccer, futsal, and summer day camps, along with the Future Stars Program, Mighty Strikers Program, and CRUSHLINGS. The program also includes an injury prevention program, a fitness program with acceleration, coordination and endurance training, and a college recruiting program. Players are expected to follow a “no uniform no play” guideline and be ready to train and play.

MPSA CRUSH has been serving Ann Arbor since 2005. The program offers teams and programs for girls and boys and has teams that participate in the Michigan Premier Soccer League, Western Suburban Soccer League, Michigan State Cup, tournaments, and futsal leagues. The organization states a philosophy that includes focus on fun, learning, and teamwork, and lists focus on personal growth, skill-building, positive life habits, sportsmanship, and fun as core values. It describes its environment as challenging but welcoming, with excellence-driven and age-appropriate skill building for all players, and an injury prevention program for players ages 13 through 19. The program notes family-friendly scheduling, family-friendly pricing including sibling discounts, and limited scholarships by application, as well as new registration software that provides a one-stop portal for parents to manage children’s accounts, register for year-round programs, access payment plans, and team communications.

The MPSA CRUSH mission statement is to provide professional and excellence-driven instruction for youth soccer players of all ages, to create an enjoyable, age-appropriate, and challenging training environment, to emphasize skill development and personal achievement and growth, to develop life-long learners and enthusiasts of soccer, and to teach positive life habits. The program also states that playing time will be based on attendance, attitude, and ability, and that positions will be decided by the head coach based on team needs and individual needs. It outlines explicit expectations for players, parents, and coaches regarding attendance, attitude, support, role modeling, and focus on development and character.

The MPSA CRUSH coaching staff includes US Soccer Federation A and B license holders, current and former high school and college coaches, current and former Olympic Development Program coaches, educators, and fitness professionals. The leadership team includes MPSA Director of Coaching Piotr Westwalewicz and MPSA Director of Administration Jennifer Westwalewicz. The program notes opportunities to work with international coaches and to attend events in Europe, and it reports an excellent track record in high school soccer preparation and placement.
