Wise Swim School offers SWIM classes, private and semi-private lessons, special needs lessons, flipper clinics, swim camps, birthday parties, and private pool parties. The program also offers once-a-week lessons and special programs available year-round in group, private, or semi-private settings. Riptide Prep at Wise Swim School is exclusively for athletes who can already swim 4 lengths of each stroke and is described as a first club experience.
• Ages: 6 months–18 years old
• Schedule: Once-a-week lessons, plus summer flipper clinics that meet Monday–Friday for two weeks for a 30-minute lesson, and four-day swim camps with a 30-minute lesson each day
Wise Swim School has warm water pools and two indoor pools, with 15 different levels that are broken down first by age and then by ability. The program offers a low student:teacher ratio, frequent evaluations to see progress, and a child-centered environment, and is available to all ages, abilities, and needs. Wise Swim Schools offer private pool parties to celebrate a child’s special day, as well as private and semi-private lessons for swimmers of all ages, levels, and needs. Riptide Prep athletes have opportunities to compete in novice swim meets when they feel ready and can earn advanced placement onto Riptide Swim Team.
Wise Swim School states that the stage is set for a child to learn a vital life skill, with warm water pools and enthusiastic staff to help motivate a child to have an appreciation for the water and a passion for swimming. The school is locally owned by Jim, Nikki, and Theresa, who are described as national leaders in swim education. Over 10,000 kids from nearby neighborhoods have learned to swim at Wise, and it has been voted the Twin Cities’ #1 swim school south of the river.
