About

Bemidji State University Athletic Camps offer activities in soccer, women’s basketball, men’s basketball, volleyball, football, baseball, softball, track and field, and women’s hockey. Baseball clinics and camps include specific skill work in pitching, catching, hitting, and defense. Bemidji State players and coaching staff are on hand to aid and instruct campers in all areas of the game.

• Ages: 13–18 years old
• Schedule: Pitching or catching from 10:30–11:30 a.m., followed by hitting and defense from 12:00–2:30 p.m.
• Price: BSU Baseball Holiday Clinics on Dec. 1, 2024 cost $50.00 per participant and include a free BSU Baseball hat; Winter Beaver Prospect Camp on Jan. 25, 2025 costs $100 for pitching/catching and hitting/defense, $75 for hitting and defense only, and $15 for pitchers who wish to rent a catcher

Erika Bute is Camp Director for Bemidji State Summer Volleyball Camps and Clinics, and Matt Ellinghuysen is Camp Director for Bemidji State Baseball Camps. Jordan Petersen is a Camp Instructor for Bemidji State Softball Camps, Ben Baird is a Camp Instructor for Bemidji State Track and Field Camps, and Amber Fryklund is a Camp Instructor for Bemidji State Women’s Hockey Camps.

For baseball activities, no metal cleats are allowed, and tennis shoes, molded cleats, or turf shoes are preferred. Pitchers must provide their own catcher if that catcher is not attending the catching camp, and pitchers who wish to rent a catcher pay $15. Campers need to bring their own glove, bat, helmet, and water, and catchers should provide their own equipment.
