Past villagers describe their experiences in several languages, including Korean, German, French, and Chinese. One Korean villager from Sup sogŭi Hosu said, “I really like the dancing and the songs—that’s really fun and it helps you to learn a lot of the Korean, too.” A German villager from Waldsee shared, “It was great to be in an environment of total German immersion and it was helpful to be speaking German all day long. I still have the songs from Gesang in my head. I made great friendships. I was a part of the Gruene Welle Abenteuer program and it was fun to use German in nature.” A French villager from Lac du Bois said, “I enjoy learning outside because it feels so open—you can enjoy the setting while learning.” A Chinese villager from Sen Lin Hu said, “Being at Sen Lin Hu has really changed my life! Some of my best memories are being made there.”
