Free Parent-Child Music Classes offers hands-on music play activities that parents and children do together. Each hour-long class is taught by an early childhood music specialist from MacPhail and focuses on music play activities tailored for kids up to 5 years old.

HealthPartners is partnering with MacPhail Center for Music to bring these free parent-child music classes to community members throughout the Twin Cities and the greater metro area. For more than 60 years, HealthPartners has been consumer governed by elected board members who are also its patients and members. For over 100 years, MacPhail has been using music education to transform lives and strengthen communities, and it has become the largest community music school in the United States, with over 200 teaching artists and 15,000 enrolled students of all ages and backgrounds. The program’s mission states that it wants every child to have a healthy start and a bright future, and it believes that music can contribute to both. The HealthPartners leadership team includes Andrea M.
