Chaska Baseball Association Youth Baseball Programs offers youth baseball programs that include preseason team practices, summer baseball camps, fall ball, post-season camps, offseason cage time, and 9U–12U travel team tryouts. The program also includes activities such as the CBA Golf Scramble and working concessions at a Chaska Cubs home game.
• Ages: 7–15 years old
• Schedule: Next CBA Board Meeting @ Cy's July 26th | 7:30-9:00pm
The program serves the Chaska and Carver communities with youth baseball programs for ages 7–15u and has a strong partnership with the Chaska Cubs. It is also enhancing its partnership with the city of Chaska toward improving fields and facilities. Offerings include 7–8u Rookies (coach pitch), 9–10u Minors (kid pitch), 9–14u Metro Baseball League (sanctioned), and 11–15u competitive teams with placement based on tryouts in a competitive format against local communities. The program states a focus on FUN, teamwork, sportsmanship, and FUNdamentals and building confidence, and notes that sportsmanship and teamwork are fundamental values of the program. All coaches are required to be vetted and complete concussion training through Safe Sport, and a Player Development Director provides parent coaches with development clinics, instructional materials, and opportunities for ongoing education. The community is described as having a long, rich baseball history, and Athletic Park, home of the Chaska Cubs, is described as a community icon.
