Extreme Kids

Extreme Kids offers crafts, small group games, science experiments, nature walks, field trips, swimming, and ice skating at the community center arena. Weekly activities include field trips, swimming, and ice skating as part of the summer schedule. Breakfast with cold cereal and milk and an afternoon snack are included with tuition, and families can choose an optional Pizza Lunch for $6.00 on Wednesdays when the group is on-site and not on a field trip.

• Schedule: Tuesday, June 9th–Friday, August 14th, 7:00 am–5:30 pm, with a 10-week session running June 9–August 14

Extreme Kids focuses on summer school-age childcare and enrichment opportunities designed to meet the changing needs of children and families. Included with tuition are cold cereal with milk for breakfast and an afternoon snack, while all other lunches need to be brought from home, with the option to purchase Pizza Lunch for $6.00 on Wednesdays when on-site. The program offers a 5-day contract option with the choice to pay in full or set up a weekly payment plan, as well as a Daily Flex Schedule that allows families to select specific days throughout the summer, subject to availability. The Leader in Training (L.I.T.) volunteer program for ages 12 and older supports the Extreme Kids Summer Program and runs for 10 weeks from June 9 to August 14, with volunteers scheduled for one to two shifts per week on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday in either a morning shift from 9:00 am–12:00 pm or an afternoon shift from 12:00 pm–3:00 pm. Leadership for the program includes Recreation Supervisor/Athletics Zak Batcher and Recreation Supervisor/Youth Sandy Jansen.
