Eagan Baseball offers T-ball, Coach Pitch, and Kid Pitch, along with weekend tournaments, jamborees, and other tournaments. The In-House program ranges from T-ball to Coach Pitch and then onto Kid Pitch, and most levels end the season with a weekend tournament or jamboree. The Travel program runs from 9U through 14U and involves games and practices.
• Ages: 4–18 years old
• Schedule: At lower ages, teams play two evenings per week, with a season that begins in May and runs into the beginning of July; official indoor practices begin after Spring Break and transition to outdoor fields in late April as weather allows, and tournaments are on weekends.
The program offers a range of options for players from Pre-K to 12th grade and of varying abilities. The Travel program is a more competitive option with a higher time commitment, with games and practices anywhere from 3–5 days a week depending on game and tournament schedules. Tryouts to determine teams and level of play for 10U–14U are held in the fall, and 9U tryouts are held in the spring. For players 15 and older, 15+ League registration typically opens in January, and outdoor tryouts for the 15+ League are conducted in late April or early May. Game and field status information is available at http://www.cityofeagan.com/gamestatus, and notifications of cancellations prior to 4 p.m. on weekdays are available through Subscription Options by selecting Parks & Recreation Updates and the box next to "Game & Field Status." Most tournaments are played in the metro area, and most teams choose to travel outside of the metro for a tournament and stay at a hotel.
