About
The Dance Factory Camps & Classes include cheerleading movements, cheers, jumps, stunts, and tumbling, along with beginning ballet movements and tap sounds. Students work on basic locomotor development, rhythm, creative expression, ballet vocabulary, flexibility exercises, strengthening exercises, tap technique, memorization, hip hop, ballet, jazz, tap fundamentals, leaps, turns, and tumbling skills. Some classes and camps also focus on specific tumbling elements such as forward rolls, backward rolls, cartwheels, round-offs, handsprings, aerial cartwheels, walkovers, and contemporary dance.

The Dance Factory Camps & Classes are led by a staff made up of experienced, positive adults, with studio owner Jennifer Tell as part of the leadership team. The Dance Factory opened its doors for business in 1999 and states its mission as “Instilling joy in students to create a memorable life experience through the arts!” The program includes recreational camps and summer class options for both recreational and competition level students, as well as competition and performing line camps and classes, a tap intensive hosted by Miss Cathy, and adult dance classes. The studio offers the Darby's Dancers program for students with special needs, with a limit of 10 dancers per Darby's Dancers class, and all fees for this program are fundraised by the studio. All students have two recital opportunities during the year, and the studio offers a variety of commitment levels from recreational to competitive, along with unique dance travel opportunities and enriching experiences inside and outside of the classroom. The program focuses on building character and developing leaders, with attention to team-building skills, confidence, lasting friendships, positive role models, and memorable experiences. The Dance Factory is a member of the organization “More Than Just Great Dancing,” and its community involvement includes Toys for Tots, monthly donations to a variety of charities, other volunteer projects, and performing in the community.
