About

Forest Lake Hoops Club offers traveling basketball teams that practice regularly and compete during a season that runs from mid-October through mid-March. Players can also take part in the 10,000 Shot Club, and teams participate in the Forest Lake Freeze basketball tournament.

• Ages: 7–14 years old
• Schedule: Teams practice two to three times per week, with the latest practice time from 7:30–9 p.m., and the season runs from mid-October through mid-March
• Price: Season registration is $400 for second–fourth grade and $450 for fifth–eighth, and many tournaments that still charge at the door collect anywhere from $8–10 per person

Tryouts will take place on September 8th and 9th for the girls and on September 10th and 11th for the boys. The Forest Lake Freeze Tournament will be held January 17–18, 2026, and the 2025 Forest Lake Freeze Tournament is on Saturday, January 18th, 2025 (Boys) and Sunday, January 19th, 2025 (Girls). The Forest Lake Freeze Tournament is described as having no gate fees. Parents are required to fulfill one “dibs” spot per child in the local Freeze basketball tournament, and payment plans are available for season registration.

Forest Lake Hoops Club is led by Neil Cooper, Hoops Club president; Chris Serritslev, VP; and Andrea Bleskey, Secretary. Forest Lake Hoops Club awards Hoops Club Scholarships, and in 2026, Adam, Kendal, Aubrey, Hailey, Bailey, and Mason were selected for 2026 Hoops Club Scholarships. Hoops Club teams that volunteer in the community can have their acts of goodness recognized by sending photos to Andrea at [email protected].
