• Price: $225 registration fee.

Caniata Beach Volleyball was created in 2011 and has run as a beach volleyball camp since then. The leadership team includes TJ Canham, Marci Taumalolo, and Bo Schmidt. TJ Canham has more than 20 years of coaching experience at the high school and club level, began his volleyball career on the SCSU club team, and has competed at an elite level both indoor and on the beach, including on the EVP tour and in many AVP events. Marci Taumalolo is the Associate Head Coach at St. Cloud State University, has coached collegiately for over 18 years at the Division I and II levels, played for the University of Minnesota from 2003–2006, and has competed in several beach and grass tournaments. Bo Schmidt has been involved in volleyball as a player, official, and coach, started playing on the St. John’s Club Volleyball team, has been coaching for over 12 years, and is the Head Girls Volleyball Coach at Rogers High School.

Caniata Volleyball is the largest beach camp in Minnesota. Girls and boys ages 8 to 18 years old are welcome to join, and each participant receives a free camp t-shirt. Campers also receive a free end-of-the-summer tournament to compete against fellow campers, with specific tournament days for different girls’ age groups and for all boys. Registration for 2026 will open at midnight on April 1st, 2026.

Families are asked to send participants with a bag that includes sunblock, a water bottle, warm weather clothes, cold weather clothes, a towel, and sunglasses. Sandsocks are not required, but coaches recommend bringing an extra pair of socks that can be used if the sand is very hot. Each child must register individually, and spots are not saved, so friends who want to attend together are encouraged to coordinate and register ahead of time.
