Trout Lake Camps

Trout Lake Camps offers three age-specific summer camps that run week-long programs all summer. The program includes Wild Woods, a fully immersive story setting for 1st to 3rd grade campers, The Point, which offers skills classes and new adventures, and Timber Ridge, a site where students live in Christ-like community and step out of their comfort zone. For one week only, Senior High camp uses the Timber Ridge site, and students on Disciple Team participate in service and mentorship to grow in faith, leadership, and real-world skills. Family-focused camps and retreats are also offered throughout the year, including themed weekend retreats such as Father/Son, Father/Daughter, Mother/Daughter, and Mother/Son, along with programmed 3-day weekend retreats for youth groups, family groups, and individuals. Facilities can be rented by groups that bring their own programming while Trout Lake Camps provides housing, activities, and food services.

Trout Lake Camps officially opened in 1947. The camp is owned by approximately 250 Baptist churches associated with Converge North Central. Its stated mission is to share the life-changing Gospel of Jesus in unique camp communities that prioritize safety and extraordinary fun. Since 1960, Trout Lake Camps has been a member of the Christian Camp and Conference Association (www.ccca.org). The program states that having fun is fundamental to the Trout experience, that its environments prioritize physical, emotional, and spiritual safety, and that the Bible is the guiding principle of its teaching, relationships, and programs.
