FANM After School and Summer Camp

FANM After School Programs are part of a broader set of services that have included mental health support, crisis and domestic violence intervention, counseling, health care access, job training, financial literacy, and adult education. The programs operate within an organization that also advocates and organizes its members around issues such as affordable housing, comprehensive immigration reform, and climate gentrification and equity. FANM After School Programs are offered by an organization that serves people of all races, genders, and ethnicities and is primarily female and minority run.

FANM After School Programs are run by Family Action Network Movement, which was founded in 1991 by Marleine Bastien. The organization expanded its scope and services to include all immigrant groups and low to moderate income families and rebranded as Family Action Network Movement in 2018. Its stated goal is to strengthen families through the empowerment of women. The organization is dedicated to the social, economic, and political empowerment of low income families and organizes locally, statewide, and nationally. FANM is a founding member of the Miami Climate Alliance, Catalyst Miami, Florida Immigrant Coalition, Haitian American Grassroots Coalition, Center for Haitian Studies, and Sant La Haitian Neighborhood Center.
