Actors Playground School of Theatre has been New Jersey’s premier acting school for 20 years and is celebrating 20 years. Classes are taught by highly qualified and passionate theatre professionals. Its curriculum mirrors Yale Drama School, The Juilliard School, and Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, and covers styles and techniques of Joseph Hart, Uta Hagen, Stanislavski, and Sanford Meisner. Enrolled students receive unlimited private sessions at no additional cost, and audition taping is also provided at no cost for enrolled students.

Actors Playground School of Theatre is home to the Playground Theatre Project, a troupe of well trained and socially conscious young actors who travel to schools of all grade levels, churches, youth groups, community centers, libraries, museums, and theaters across America performing original social issue plays about violence, racism, human rights, bullying, and teen suicide. AP Creative Studios, connected with the program, offers photography and videography services including headshots, reels, and audition taping. Mini Misfits: The Podcast, a four-episode audio play based on an anti-bullying play, is available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts. The program describes itself as the most progressive school for young actors, directors, playwrights, and screenwriters anywhere and as an artistic sanctuary for young people with a unique combination of commitment, consciousness, and curriculum.
