Chabad Hebrew School includes Aleph Champ and Bar and Bat Mitzvah preparation as part of its program. Aleph Champ is modeled after Martial Arts and motivates by dividing different reading skills into levels defined by color. The program serves children in Grades K through 10 and has a student body made up of children from various backgrounds and affiliations.

Chabad Hebrew School has a well-earned reputation as a trend setter in creative Jewish education for children in Grades K through 10. It has exciting new programs, a dynamic staff and interested students. Parental participation is encouraged through ongoing communication and active participation in many fun and interactive activities. Children acquire a broad knowledge of Judaism through a motivating and challenging venue, including Aleph-Bais, Holiday learning and Hebrew literacy. Students gain an appreciation for the joys, values and traditions of Jewish heritage as it is vividly brought to life by dedicated and enthusiastic teachers whose creativity and dynamism make every lesson a unique learning experience. The goal is for students to view Judaism in an intelligent, relevant and upbeat light, and by year's end children will have developed a deep love and appreciation for their heritage, imbuing their every day with a sense of pride and purpose.
The mission statement of Chabad Hebrew School is: “Inspiring Jewish Pride and Identity in Jewish Children - the future of Judaism.” The program is led by a leadership team that includes Chana D. Solomon, Director of Chabad at Short Hills Hebrew School, and Rabbi Mendel Solomon, who received his ordination in the Chabad/Lubavitch educational system. Chabad Hebrew School has been active from 1993–2026. They have transformed the Short Hills and surrounding areas into a bustling hub of Jewish life where both young and old are excited to connect to their heritage in a fun and meaningful way.
