About
Exceptional Explorers offers open play, travel themed arts and crafts classes, music class, toddler art classes, robotics classes, sensory science classes, and science STEAM classes. The program also hosts birthday parties, mini-camps, summer camp, daycare services, date night drop-off, and includes arcade games. Adults are free for entry during visits, and private parties are available on weekends.

Exceptional Explorers is a first of its kind travel themed interactive indoor play space and playground created by two mothers, a speech-language pathologist and an occupational therapist, who have many years of child development education and experience. The play area uses equipment made from high quality wood and is designed to be sensitive to children with sensory issues, with a limited number of children allowed in the interactive play facility at one time. The team follows a strict cleaning regimen between playtimes and states a world-class standard of cleanliness with stringent sanitary levels, and all classes, kids birthday parties, and arcade games are carried out with social distancing guidelines in place. The space is described as parent-friendly, with areas where parents can unwind, read, chat, or work while watching their child.
The goal of the team at Exceptional Explorers is to give children an experience that extends beyond the average daycare or kids indoor playground and to give children a place to be themselves and practice their imaginations. The curriculum is designed to introduce and prepare students to become global citizens by helping children learn about different countries and landmarks in a fun, intuitive, and interesting way through art, crafts, art and science classes, and play structures that promote motor and speech development. Exceptional Explorers was created by two mothers in the Livingston, NJ community who saw a need to promote cultural exposure and diversity in kids. Memberships allow once-a-day entry for any available open play slot and include 10% off parties and classes, with some exclusions, and birthday parties are always one party at a time.
