Sanskriti of New Jersey was founded in 2008 and was formed on June 12, 2009 in New Jersey as a not-for-profit organization. Its mission includes educating individuals and business entities about the socio-cultural values of India, including its music, art, language, and history, and organizing programs, workshops, seminars, cultural fairs, and other activities to promote and celebrate Asian Indian activities and holidays. The organization creates and operates Hindi and other Asian Indian language schools and educational activities that promote the study and sharing of information about the culture, language, history, and heritage of people of Asian Indian origin. It encourages and participates in the celebration of Asian Indian holidays and festivals and aims to work with all residents of the community regardless of age, gender, color, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, or national origin. Sanskriti of New Jersey (formerly AILIV) has a membership base that includes residents of Livingston and many neighboring towns, and it may engage in or share information about non-partisan civic education initiatives intended to promote community awareness and participation. Sanskriti is a neutral, non-partisan organization that does not endorse, oppose, or support any political party, candidate, or individual agenda.
